Employees should arrive two hours later than their scheduled arrival time and will observe an optional workday. (See Regulation 5050-R below – option C)
Primetime will be closed.
All after-school activities are cancelled.

Because of the expected hazardous conditions, the Cumberland County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17, 2018, for all students and staff.

Primetime will be closed.

CALENDAR UPDATE:  Traditional calendar students will make up the January 17, 2018, inclement weather day on Monday, January 22, 2018. January 22, 2018, was originally a traditional calendar teacher workday. January 22, 2018, will now be a regular school day.

Because of water issues, CCS has rescheduled its 2018-2019 Secondary Choice Fair to Monday, January 29, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the Educational Resource Center (ERC) auditorium located at 396 Elementary Drive in Fayetteville.  The Fair will highlight booths from area middle and high schools that have information about choice schools, academies, or programs that are accepting student applications for the 2018-2019 school year.  Additionally, a Ft. Bragg-E.E. Smith Parent Meeting will take place from 5:30-6:00 p.m. in Room #3 at ERC.  For more information about the Secondary Choice Fair or the Ft. Bragg-E.E. Smith Parent Meeting, call 910.678.2407.

PWC lifted the ‘boil water’ advisory at 6:30 pm this evening.  Cumberland County Schools is now able to operate on regular schedule beginning tomorrowJanuary 9, 2018.

yellow crossing sign with the words School Closed in frontAs a result of the of PWC water main issues, it is necessary for schools to be closed for students on Monday, January 8, 2018.  The issues impact the availability of water, food preparation, and heat.  The day will be an optional workday for employees.  Schools should resume a regular schedule on Tuesday, January 9.  Prime time will be closed.  All after school activities are cancelled.
